Sponsorship
Put your name on the tent
A cookoff tent sits in front of a few thousand people over five days, most of them from within twenty miles of your front door. That is who sees a sponsor banner. We will not pretend it is more than that — but for a local business, it is exactly the right few thousand people.
Sponsorship for the Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo Cook Off, 11–12 September 2026, has closed. The levels below are what we offer, and they will run again for our next cook. If you want in on the next one, email us now and we will come to you first when the window opens.
Why sponsor a cook team
What you actually get
Five days, not thirty seconds
A cookoff is not an ad slot. Your name is on the sponsor banner from setup Wednesday through teardown Sunday, in front of the same crowd, repeatedly.
A room full of your neighbours
These are local events. The people walking past are the trades, plant workers, contractors and families who live and buy within the same few zip codes you serve.
Books you can look at
Every dollar in and out is receipted and reported. If you want to know where your sponsorship went, we can show you the line item. Most teams cannot.
Sponsorship levels
Eight ways in
Every level is invited to dinner in the tent all nights of the cookoff, and every level includes passes to the sponsor bar — a full bar, sponsors only. Sponsors are included in our advertising for the event.
| Level | Amount | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Tent | $3,500 | 20 sponsor bar passes · 6 gate passes · your name on the sponsor banner · invitation to sponsors night |
| Diamond | $2,000 | 15 sponsor bar passes · 6 gate passes · your name on the sponsor banner · invitation to sponsors night |
| Platinum | $1,500 | 12 sponsor bar passes · 4 gate passes · your name on the sponsor banner · invitation to sponsors night |
| Gold | $1,000 | 9 sponsor bar passes · 2 gate passes · your name on the sponsor banner · invitation to sponsors night |
| Silver | $750 | 7 sponsor bar passes · your name on the sponsor banner · bring us a banner and we will hang it |
| Bronze | $500 | 4 sponsor bar passes · your name on the sponsor banner · bring us a banner and we will hang it |
| Copper | $250 | 2 sponsor bar passes · your name on the sponsor banner · bring us a banner and we will hang it |
$1,000 and up: we print the banner
At Gold and above we produce a 3′×5′ banner for you at our cost, hung at the tent for the weekend. Below that, provide your own and we will hang it. Send vector artwork if you have it — .ai, .eps, .svg or a layered .pdf. A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background works too. Anything pulled off a website prints badly at that size, and we would rather say so now than hand you a blurry logo at the event.
Any amount helps
Not every business is in a position to write one of the cheques above, and we would rather have you at the tent than not. Contributions of any size go straight into entry fees, wood and protein.
In-kind works the same way. Wood, ice, fuel, printing, site services, tent space, a trailer for the weekend — if it is something we would otherwise buy, tell us what you have.
Not sponsoring?
Tent wristbands — $25
A wristband gets you into the tent for food and dinner. Wristbands are $25, beer included for 21+. If you just want to come eat with us, this is the one.
Before you ask
Straight answers
Where does the money go?
Entry fees, protein, wood and charcoal, ice, propane, site services, and consumables. Nobody on this team takes a dollar out of it — all four founders put money in, and crew time is contributed, not paid.
What is sponsors night?
An evening in the tent for sponsors at Gold and above, away from the public crowd. Food, a seat, and the people who put the cook together.
What is the difference between a bar pass and a gate pass?
A gate pass gets a person onto the cookoff grounds. A sponsor bar pass gets them into the sponsor bar once they are there. They are counted separately because the event issues them separately.
What is the sponsor bar?
A full bar, for sponsors and their guests only. The public bar in the tent runs beer. This is the difference most sponsors actually notice on the night, and it is what the bar passes in each level are for.
Can I sponsor more than one cook?
Yes, and it is easier for both of us if we set it up once. Email us and we will work out the season rather than doing this event by event.
